Environmental, Social and Governance: Advancing Well-Being for Everyone
Our dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework is at the heart of our mission to enhance quality of life universally.
Leveraging the ESG framework, we aim to drive sustainable value and growth, aligning our actions with the fundamental goal of preserving resources and enriching lives. This approach ensures that our endeavors not only foster economic success but also contribute positively to society and the environment.
Environmental
Bringing Sustainable Future, One Locker at a Time.
Last-mile delivery alone accounts for a half of the carbon dioxide emissions left within the whole supply chain. For that reason, we aim at making last-mile delivery as green as it's possible, and parcel lockers are an efficient solution for that. According to Green Last Mile Europe 2023 report by Last Mile Expert:
One parcel locker saves up to 13,845 kg of carbon dioxide emissions, which is equal to purification of air with 2,769 trees!
In fact, parcel lockers are capable of processing the same volume of parcels as conventional to-door delivery but with 62% less of total distance driven by couriers. On top of that, implementing a chain of totally autonomous parcel lockers that work off-grid can accelerate your sustainability efforts even beyond these measures!
• Carbon-free Factory
Produced with Sustainability in Mind
Omnic ensures that it contributes to sustainable development with parcel lockers and the way they’re produced. Omnic facilities work exclusively on renewables, which aligns with our commitment to a zero-carbon future.
Omnic factory was designed to be ecologically efficient and environmentally friendly. Everything in this facility runs on solar energy to provide zero carbon dioxide production. And we can proudly declare that Our factory is the world’s first 100% off-grid facility specializing on production self-service solutions only. That is not an exaggeration: 100% of its power consumption is covered by renewable energy, produced by 2,500 square meters combined area of solar panels with 0.5 MW capacity. The ceiling of the factory is transparent, which allows the reduction of the amount of power needed.
All the production is being made in compliance with global standards since OMNIC’s production is certified according to European and American requirements and corresponds to the highest level of quality and safety.
• Innovation and R&D
Innovations Closer to Nature
Omnic is actively expanding a product range, consistently focusing on sustainable, eco-friendly solutions, reflecting our commitment to environmental preservation.
Omnic parcel locker can be upgraded with solar panels, ensuring complete autonomy and are engineered for a minimal lifespan of up to 10 years. Our lockers can be also upgraded with a vertical garden on its side and back panels, supported by an automated irrigation system that uses harvested rainwater. Such a solution is perfect for urban areas in Southern countries.
Upcycling for a Greener Tomorrow
OMNI Post Eco, our innovative parcel locker, exemplifies our dedication to sustainability. Crafted from approximately 5,320 recycled standard 500 ml plastic bottles, each unit embodies our commitment to reducing waste and minimizing environmental impact.
Produced in a solar-powered facility, OMNI Post Eco represents a significant step towards a sustainable future, transforming urban spaces with eco-friendly solutions.
Social
5S Workplace
5S is a system to reduce waste and optimize productivity through maintaining an orderly workplace and using visual cues to achieve more consistent operational results. Implementation of this method "cleans up" and organizes the workplace basically in its existing configuration, and it is typically the first lean method which organizations implement.
This lean method encourages Omnic workers to improve their working conditions and helps them to learn to reduce waste, unplanned downtime, and in-process inventory.
Equality and Diversity
Omnic’s staff is distributed across Europe, North America, Asia and MENA regions. And all workers have the opportunity to grow within the company according to their competencies and follow their passions regardless of their age, gender, race, or religion.
Personnel turnover in OMNIC is considerably low, as more than 30% of employees work in a company for over 5 years.
Over 90% of the top management grew at Omnic beginning from starter positions, and only 10% were hired immediately to management positions.
Over 50% of key positions in Omnic are occupied by women.
Governance
Empowering Local Action: Omnic Decentralized Governance
Bridging global standards with local insight
OMIC combines the best practices of two economic centres of the World in its DNA. The strength of the MENA region, embodied in company’s headquarters in Saudi Arabia, and a well-known European democracy, transmitted through our Italian representation office and manufacturing facilities.
We embrace a decentralized approach to governance, characterized by a horizontal team management structure. In a bold move towards "glocality" in 2022, OMNIC transitioned from a centralized workforce of over 100 employees to fostering local micro-teams of up to 10 members in each of our operational regions. While head office sets universal standarts, OMNIC’s local teams tailor these to their specific markets, ensuring a seamless integration of global and local perspectives.
This structure grants each local team considerable autonomy, empowering them with decision-making capabilities that resonate with their unique market conditions. This approach not only enhances responsiveness and adaptability but also underscores our commitment to empowering local expertise and insights.
